Sky Mountain Charter School

Sky Mountain Charter School is a Southern California Charter school that offers directed funds to parents who want to choose curriculum and classes for their home schooled student. Parents must go though approved vendors to sign up for classes or purchase materials.

At Sky Mountain Charter School, Parents homeschool  their children and then meet with a master teacher every 20 days to show the teacher what their child has completed.

Teachers are there to support parents in their homeschooling planning. There are many charter schools in California. Most Charter schools offer  free programs because they are funded through the state, much like public schools are funded.

Sky Mountain Charter is one of the most sought after charter schools because it offers a greater amount of directed funds than most other charters schools in the area.

You might want to check with River Springs Charter School or Julian Charter. They have educational specialists positions to help parents plan out curriculum and keep records. You could also tutor students. Many high schools keep lists of local tutors. Give them a call and put your name on the list. Best of Luck to You! Jana

How do they offer more than the others? Seems like it should all be similar.

      Colleen,
I think it comes down to how they budget. I agree, it seems they would all offer the same thing as far as funds go but they don’t.
