1. They want a flexible schedule, where the parent can plan out their school day
2. They like the option to study in a more relaxed environment
3. The parents or children (or both) don’t want to get up early in the morning
4. The children are being bullied or harassed at school by other students or teachers
5. They want more of an education than public school has to offer them
6. They want to be responsible for their own education
7. They live in an unsafe neighborhood with unsafe school situations
8. They participate in a sport, and acting job or they have musical ambition that takes them away from school on a regular basis
9. They want to homeschool so that they can include their religious studies in the curriculum
10. They travel several times a year and need to be able to take their schoolwork with them

Good list, one more to add though. So they can receive a better education than what is being taught at the local schools.
