My Friends Are Treating Me Weird Now That I Homeschool

Your friends may never understand your decision to homeschool…they may be jealous or feel uncomfortable about it.

Over time, if they are good friends-they will get used to it and see that you are the same person whether you homeschool or not. I would suggest also seeking out some friendships with other homeschoolers so you will have the support you need.

They are also going to take cues from you-if you act uncomfortable about it-they will sense that.

And think it’s weird.

Many people like to judge things that they know nothing about.

Hopefully, they will learn through their friendship with you

that there are many good choices for education.

They also might be scared

that you will try to talk them into homeschooling.

Reassure them that homeschooling isn’t for everyone-but that you are enjoying it.
