Your friends may never understand your decision to homeschool…they may be jealous or feel uncomfortable about it.
Over time, if they are good friends-they will get used to it and see that you are the same person whether you homeschool or not. I would suggest also seeking out some friendships with other homeschoolers so you will have the support you need.

My best friend’s son is currently attending Harvard on a full scholarship. Although he was not home schooled, many of his classmates where home schooled. Here are some tips from his mom about how to get in….she believes that home schoolers actually have an advantage over public school students because they have time to define themselves and pursue a specialty. (He also received a full scholarship to USC)
1. Get good grades. Yes grades count to get you past the initial screening. And cosider backing up your grades with good SAT scores or Community College Courses.
